Dr. Sanders obtained an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Purdue University following high school. He then entered the combined degree (MD, PhD) program at Indiana University, majoring in medical neurobiology. He spent one year at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis as an intern followed by three years as a neurology resident and one year as a neuro-ophthalmology fellow at Indiana University Medical Center. He has been in private practice since July of 2000.
Dr. Sanders is a member of the American Medical Association, Indiana State Medical Association, Indianapolis Medical Society, Tippecanoe County Medical Society, American Academy of Neurology, Indiana Neurological Association, North American Neuro-ophthalmology Society, Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology, Vestibular Disorders Association, and the American Academy of Balance Medicine. He is the past president of the American Academy of Balance Medicine.
Dr. Sanders resides in Zionsville with his wife, four children and two step children. When not busy with his children, he enjoys golf, rollerblading and traveling.
